Ayuda en Acción
Since its founding in 1981, the Ayuda en Accion Foundation (AeA) has implemented development and humanitarian assistance projects. In the last 5 years, AeA has had a project portfolio of 150 million, of which 25% has been humanitarian assistance. AeA has a Humanitarian Unit at headquarters, which implements and oversees humanitarian project design and management protocols, including standardized logistical, technical, financial and human resources procedures.
Since 2006, AeA has been working in Mozambique implementing actions with different funders. AeA has two offices in Mozambique located in Maputo and Pemba, and a country team of 37 people. It participates in coordination platforms and clusters (Shelter, CCCM, FSL, WASH, Gender, Protection, Nutrition) with districts and provincial government, and has implemented several humanitarian projects in WASH, Shelter, Protection, Livelihoods and CCCM in recent years, funded by IOM, UNHCR, UNICEF, GoV and UNOPs.
Since 2019, AeA Mozambique has managed a humanitarian portfolio of over USD 6 million implemented in Nhamatanda, Erati, Pemba, Chiure, Montepuez, Ancuabe and Metuge in Sofala, Nampula and Cabo Delgado provinces.
The overall objective of this position is to coordinate and lead the implementation and accountability of the "EARLY-RECOVERY SHELTER SUPPORT TO IDPS IN CABO DELGADO PROJECT" in response to the IDP crisis. The main activities associated with the project are:
